Tesla organized an event called Cyber Rodeo for the opening of its new factory near Austin. The first cars produced in Tesla’s Austin factory were shown at the event. The most striking thing was the vehicle named Model Y SUV, which just came off the production line.

Approximately 15,000 people were invited to the Cyber Rodeo event held for the opening of the Austin factory. While trying to express the size of the factory, Musk said, “Our Austin factory is almost the size of three Pentagon buildings.”
On the day of the Cyber Rodeo event, local schools closed early. Such a decision was taken to avoid causing extra traffic. It also did not go unnoticed that Tesla used red, white and blue cars to resemble the Texas state flag.
The Austin factory is one of the key parts of Tesla’s globalization process. The new facility opened in Berlin and was planned as an addition to the existing factory in Shanghai. Tesla’s goal will be to leave behind major automakers and increase sales as much as possible.
Production will start in 2023
Tesla is currently having difficulty meeting expectations regarding electric tractor and electric pickup truck models. Speaking at the Cyber Rodeo event, Tesla’s boss Musk said that the problems with the models in question will be eliminated and He announced that production will start in 2023.
Tesla chief designer Franz von Holzhausen was also at the event and showed off the Cybertruck prototype. An endurance test was not conducted for the Cybertruck. However, it has been confirmed that it will have a structure similar to the design images leaked a while ago.
Cybertruck will be a four-door electric pickup truck. The model, named Roadster, was defined as a two-door electric coupe. It was planned to be released in 2020, but there were delays. It was announced that the new model Roadster will be on the market in 2023.
The electric heavy truck named Tesla Semi was first introduced in 2017 and was planned to be released in 2020. However, mass production could not be started for Semi. It was stated that Semi will be on the production line in 2023, together with the Austin factory.
