Netflix

Netflix
Netflixis a subscription-based digital platform founded in 1997 that includes many TV series, movies, programs and documentaries. Founded by Marc Randolph and Reed Hastings, Netflix’s name comes from the combination of the words “net” meaning internet and “flicks” meaning movies.
History of Netflix
Netflix, which provided DVD sales and rental services when it was first founded, had only 30 employees in 1998. In 1999, a monthly DVD rental service system was introduced and users could rent 4 DVDs of their choice for a monthly fee of $16. In 2000, this 4 DVD limitation was removed and an unlimited DVD rental service was introduced for 20 dollars per month. Netflix, which continued its existence with this rental service until 2011, separated its DVD rental and internet streaming service in 2011 and Qwikster company was established for DVD rentals. Exactly one year later, the Qwikster company was closed and Netflix became what it is today.
